Alan's list of essentials for a sailing trip.

-Wet weather gear (trousers/jacket/headgear)
-Wellies
-Deck shoes (non-marking)
-Leather gloves (optional)
-Towels (neck/washgear)
-Washgear
-Sleeping bag and pillow
-Warm clothing for wearing under wet weather gear
-Spare socks/trousers/shirts/jumpers/etc
-Swimming trunks (for the brave/foolish)
-Going ashore gladrags
-Favourite tipple/sweets/chocolate
-Book
-Torch (optional)
-Sunglasses/suncream/sunhat (optimistic eh !!)
-Midge/mosquito repellent (more like it !!)
-Any necessary medication (sea sickness tablets )
-Personal RYA logbook (for signing) and/or navigation gear
-Personal lifejacket/harness, if preferred (but boat provides for all anyway)
-Cheque book and spending money
-Camera and spare film/discs

All neatly stowed in a soft bag that can be stowed away easily within limited cupboard areas (no hard cases).
