The prospect of F 4/5 was too tempting so we had to be out on the water, a late call to K and then J introducing a friend C and we were all set. We also had "gentleman's hours" with a 16:00 HW as the four of us met and went out to the mooring without a crack of dawn start. Other followers of Aurai may be interested to know that after two months of dry engine bilge, we had a fuel leak from the pre-filters again and so a mopping up exercise was needed. Then a fuel berth visit, all new to our novice crew from Yotlinx, before we could set sail. K was determined so a motor sail out of the Medway (12Nm) to the Thames estuary, to speed us to where the breeze was keener and we sailed out to show off the Montgomery only to find the extra high Spring Tide was extra strong to return against! Pointing 210 degrees and the GPS proving we were managing 100 degrees through the water! Let's moor at Queenborough, only QB was full with 3 boats on many of the visitor marks. So more nightsailing, to Stangate creek and an anchored night by the charted explosives anchoring area, thankfully empty.
