Page: Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Next Arriving in the newly appointed harbour at Inverie we moored up and waited for our compadres on the Sonas Mohr…… They weren’t long in arriving and gave us a spectacular display of ‘pick up bouy’ technique! Peace was made and we accepted some boarders who shared what was left of our ‘lemon infused’ humous (which seemed to be made at Willy Wonkas because it kept replenishing!) We also polished off the remainder of Skipper Dave’s Gin. We then rendezvoused in The Old Forge where we were treated to some great food & the odd drink. Joe (Sonas Mohr) gave some authentic Scottish performances on the whistles and pipes accompanied (heckled) by Laura on the ‘thing that goes clack’ and everyone else took a shot on the bongo’s. I can personally recommend the Hebridean Gold which I’m positive enhanced my bongo drum playing! We also had a rendition of a Danish folk song from…. well…. a Danish lady? Who was she exactly? Anyway, to top the evening off Skipper Dave led the whole pub (I’m sure everyone joined in?) in an extremely vociferous version of “Sook and Blaw!” ……what a great night! Back onboard we all fell asleep eventually….. I was kept awake by Laura & Therese blethering till the early hours but I must’ve nodded off at some point because I woke up when I fell off the cockpit seat in my sleeping bag onto the deck with a crash!
