Next day saw a quick motor to Scavaig….. the Sonas Mohr was still in the doldrums – or was it hangoverums following what was, by all accounts another fantastic evening at the festival. Once at Scavaig the crew went ashore and enjoyed the freshwater loch and the views, whilst Skipper Dave was left onboard to prepare lunch. Suitably hungry we ‘limp-paddled’ back with our one oar to the mother ship for lunch. What met us was a feast to behold. Skipper Dave had been slaving away and produced an amazing array of soup, rolls (with lots of bread in them!) and the ‘piece de resistance’ rolled Parma ham – well it’s got to beat mince! This was turning in to more of a gourmet cruise than a booze cruise!! We finished off our lunch, and like the seals we saw when we arrived at Scavaig, basked in the sun for a while before setting sail for The Old Forge in Inverie. With the ‘Pink Lady’ at the helm we maintained a steady but wiggly course, probably down to a sore shoulder eh Laura? And we enjoyed some nice wind en route. The journey was punctuated by yet more ginger cake & tea which was very proficiently served by Therese, “Coffee, tea, cigarettes, cigars, perfume?” A pal of hers used to be an airline stewardess apparently!
