En route we encountered a fellow reveller who asked us (in a broad Glaswegian accent….) “His onyone seen ma tent….?” What’s it look like…..we answered….. “It’s green and next tae a rock…..” came the reply “Errrr, no – just get in the first one you find and if no-one screams – it’s yours” I advised. At which point he staggered off into the distance, seemingly happy in the knowledge that he was going to have a bed for the night – whether it was his we’ll never know? The first wave of our party headed off in the dinghy in search of the ‘Thistle’, not easy when it’s dark you see… Andrew & myself then made our way back towards the jetty to pick up Skipper Dave and Therese only to find we couldn’t actually see where they were! We ended up passing them – much to their bewilderment (and sore throats from shouting at us!) and headed towards the marquee again. After a bit of mucking about we finally picked them up and all made it back onboard safely. The fresh air had taken it’s toll, and we were all safely tucked up and snoring away (well I was apparently….) very soon after that. First light came, and we were all woken by a cuckoo whos ‘cuckoo’ got faster and faster until it sounded like it was going to self destruct! Unfortunately it didn’t and we were up and about by about 7:30 am. Tea and bacon rolls were on, and the day was looking promising. Comment of the weekend goes to Laura “there’s a lot of bread in these bread rolls don’t you think…..?”
