If this propitious date was enough to deter women not to have their babies on this day maybe one should not start a cruise either! The intention had been to collect “Fabiola” my Grand Soleil 52 from near Split where she had been receiving a new copper anti-fouling treatment and to have 10 days of easy sailing, meandering back toward Dubrovnik her home port. June Sailing in Croatia is generally considered the best being warm and dry and not excessively hot or crowded.
